2 x Business Analyst for Application Support - Stockholm

Just now we have a request from one of our Swedish clients for 2 x Business Analyst for Application Support.

As our client explained:

We are seeking two Business Analysts that would work in various development and maintenance projects in the our Applications Section.

Tasks
The consultants will gather and analyse the business requirements as well as document and develop business workflows for the need of various web based systems assigned to the Application Section. The consultants will be responsible for testing, writing test cases and training of users. The consultants will liaise closely with all the stakeholders, project managers and development team members.

The consultants shall be requested to perform various tasks related to the projects, products, applications and services developed in Applications section.

The tasks will include:
- Gather, document, and maintain functional and non-functional documentation for applications
- Model, analyse, and improve of business processes
- Perform stakeholder analysis
- Specifying user interfaces
- Document standard operating procedures
- Assist stakeholders in prioritizing requirements
- Develop use cases and assist in developing test cases
- Analyse information sharing and content process workflows
- Identify and communicate overlap or synergies between projects
- Coordinate with technical, functional and business users, including Business Owners of the application(s), as well as developers
- Contribute to and validate the functional testing of IT applications
- Contribute and support in the preparation of the user training curricula, training materials, and perform user training, when requested
- Assist the section in developing and implementing standards

Competences and skills
- University degree with minimum 4 years experience in IT or non-university degree with minimum 6 years experience in IT
- Minimum 2 years of business analysis including tasks described in task and deliverables section above
- Extensive knowledge and experience in modelling software techniques and business and functional requirements
- Extensive experience in process mapping and workflow process analysis (BPMN)
- Proven experience in design and analysis of enterprise applications architecture
- Proven experience in coordinating with technical, functional and business users
- Proven experience in facilitating meetings, scheduling and managing of time
- Good skills with MS Visio or Business Studio
- Knowledge of MS SharePoint 2007 and 2010
- Knowledge of Customers Management systems
- Optional: Knowledge of development methodologies (e.g. RUP) and modelling (e.g. UML)
- Excellent communication skills in spoken and written English, including report writing
- Ability to interpret and understand complex Business Requirements and procedures
- Excellent team player, but also able to work independently when requested
- Experience in knowledge management
- Experience in working in agile development environment
- Capability of integration in an international/multicultural environment, rapid self-starting capability and willingness to work in a team
- Ability to cope with fast changing technologies used in application developments

Duration: Until the 2013-01-31, with a good possibility of extension.
Start: 2012-07-16 (An alternative start date can be discussed.)
