Description
We are looking for a Business Analyst who will provide business analysis and configuration services for the Document Management System (DMS), built in SharePoint 2010.
Tasks
The consultant shall be requested to perform various tasks related to the projects, products, applications and services developed in the Internal Communication and Knowledge Services Section, under the supervision of the Document Management Coordinator.
The tasks will include:
- Perform typical Business Analyst activities/ tasks for DMS:
Complete the Client's needs in respect to Document Management System;
Assessment of DMS impact within the Client;
Systematically evaluate emerging functional and non-functional requirements and maintain the requirements specifications;
Analyze and develop the Business Requirements, the use cases and usage scenarios for DMS;
Analyze and develop DMS workflows;
Specifying improvements to the user interfaces;
Document standard operating procedures;
Coordinate with technical and business users, including Business Owners of the application(s), as well as the application developers
Contribute to the design of new functionalities;
Review and improve the current business and technical documentation according to Client standards;
Contribute and review the users' support documentation and any technical documentation;
Contribute and support in the preparation of the user training curricula, training materials, and perform user training, when requested;
- Support the migration of the documents from the Client's unit drives and shared drives to DMS
- Support additional configuration of the document management solution in SharePoint 2010, based on user's needs
- Test and document the application
- Support the entire life cycle of the document management system, within the Document Management Group
- Be in charge of the activities as 3rd Line Support for Infrastructure Group's Help Desk at the Client for DMS, after the application will be launched in production in the post-deployment phase
- Be in constant contact with the DMS developer. The communication and sharing of tasks, activities, deadlines, milestones, requirements on a daily basis is fundamental
- Participation in any meeting/ workshop where the presence of the Business Analyst is considered as needed or beneficial by the Document Management Coordinator/ Group Leader
Competences and skills:
- University degree with minimum 4 years experience in IT or non-university degree with minimum 6 years experience in IT;
- Minimum 2 years of business analysis including tasks described in the task section above;
- Experience with Content and Document management systems;
- Experience in MS SharePoint MOSS 2007 and MOSS 2010;
- Experience with UML or case tools;
- Capability of integration in an international/multicultural environment, rapid self-starting capability and willingness to work in a team;
- Ability to cope with fast changing technologies used in application developments;
- Knowledge of using Business Process Modelling Notation, BPMN
- Good skills with MS Visio or Business Studio;
- Ability to express complex ideas in a simple manner;
- Good command of English: oral and written;
Duration: Until the 2012-12-31, with a good possibility of extension.
