Just now we have a request from one of our Swedish clients for a Linux Consultant.

Assignment Description
LOTC is developed around bash scripts, C code and configuration of SLES. It is a multi machine system, where network booting and RAM based root file system technologies are utilized.
As a LOTC designer you will be involved in troubleshooting, implementation as well as system test within all areas of the product. It will also include trouble shooting within the LOTC area as well as SLES itself.
For automated system testing, an internally developed tool is used. As part of the LOTC design work, you are expected to extend the test suite within the automated system test tool.
Preferred Competence:
- Knowledge about how to configure and build Linux kernel
- Experience within SW design
- Familiarity with the UNIX philosophy
- Excellent C and shell script programming skills and ideally previous experience in writing code for Linux kernel
- Good understanding and knowledge about common services such as DHCP, NTP, NFS and TFTP
- Good Suse Linux Enterprise Server knowledge
- Good understanding of network booting
- Good understanding of the use of initrd and other terms part of the Linux boot up phase
