Frontend .NET Developer - Stockholm

Just now we have a request from one of our Swedish clients for a Frontend .NET Developer.

As our client explained:

We are now looking for a developer with experience of both .NET user interface development and web development. Experience from user interface/interaction design is an advantage, as is experience with WPF.

Based in our Stockholm office, you will focus on GUI and system development helping to create our next generation natural language processing (NLP) platform. You will work inside the R&D department together with an international team of developers and computational linguists. You will be expected to work responsibly within an agile environment participating in both the interface and platform design.

The position will focus upon:
- Participate in the design and development of our new NLP platform
- Design, develop and maintain rich desktop GUIs
- Design, develop and maintain web applications and GUIs
- Interact with users of the platform - learn and improve the interface design

Experience & Skills:
- 7+ years of development experience.
- 3+ years of C#/.NET
- 3+ years of relevant user-interface design/development
- Good written and spoken English skills

Knowledge of:
- Interface development, Interface design, Interaction design, Prototyping,
- Agile development, Agile testing, Automated interface testing
- C#, JSP, JavaScript, HTML, XHTML, DHTML, AJAX, CSS, XML, XSL, XSLT
- Application and web servers

Beneficial skills/experience:
- An interest in the areas of computational linguistics and NLP
- Knowledge of and interest in design of multimodal interfaces
- Knowledge of and interest in mobile (android, iphone) user-interfaces

Personal Skills:
- Ability to work well both alone and within a larger team
- Have the mindset for agile development and decision making
- Strong commitment and a will to get things done
- Flexible and open-minded, pragmatic
