Test Sourcing Expert
Just now we have a request from one of our Swedish clients for a Test Sourcing Expert.
Explanation of task
The scope of the task is to describe sourcing alternatives for delivering test at the client, specifically addressing:
- How to achieve rapid scalability in the test delivery (50-300 people)
- What parts should be outsourced, what parts should be kept in-house
- Pre-conditions (process, roles, skills, tools, geography, required governance)
Constraints
Background:
- Development, maintenance and operations of the IT infrastructure and IT applications have been and are still done in-house at the client.
- Various platforms from legacy to newer co-exist.
- An IT transformation programme has recently started, aiming at restructuring IT and enabling a true global perspective at the client.
- Test Centre is the client's central test organization that provides circa 100 skilled test resources to development projects and maintenance organizations. Most tests are done manually.
Experience required for the role must include the following:
- Management consultant expert on sourcing strategies, particularly for testing and quality assurance
- Experience from defining and implementing sourcing strategies for testing at larger organizations (10,000 - 100,000 employees) with several business areas, multiple platforms, cross-geography
- Able to present clear concise management information to Programme Steering Boards and line management as required as well as regular defined reporting requirements for his/her function
- Fluent in English, with excellent written, spoken and presentation skills
- Recent Retail and/or Investment Banking (highly sought)
- Direct experience of large scale test deliveries in the Finance arena
