Scala Developer - Central Stockholm
Just now we have a request from one of our Swedish clients for a Scala Developer.
As our client explained:
We are looking for a talented consultant (Senior) that helps us build the future with new disrupting products and by evolving our existing feature set. Our services are built in Scala and deployed in the cloud with help of tools such as Docker, Ansible and Jenkins. We work in small autonomous teams with short release cycles; Micro Services, Cloud, Continuous Integration. Deployment is at the heart of everything we do.
You will be given the opportunity to work with one of the most important pieces of our company, in a small team alongside some of the most talented people in the industry.
You should get in touch with us if you:
- enjoy coding in Scala and bring experience or are eager to learn it
- care about the product and business outcome and want to solve complex business problems in a clean and simple way
- have experience from development on the JVM stack (Scala and/or Java)
- are used to creating REST API:s and know how to work with messages queues as an integration method
- are not afraid to work with infrastructure or Javascript development if it’s needed to deliver business value in the team
- ideally you bring experience from working with payments (direct debit, credit cards, etc) or are eager to learn more
- are used to working with the entire lifecycle of a service, from writing application code and tests to deploying it to production and supporting it
- large scale services is something that excites you and you know how to build and run services with stellar uptime
- working as a team is in your DNA; we respect and support each other, and we practice agile methodologies including pair and mob programming
- deploying code multiple times a day using automated pipelines feels natural to you
- learning and succeeding in fields you have not worked in before is something that motivates you
